Pastor of Children and Families:
John Doty

John is originally from Rawlins, WY. His wife Sarah grew up in Tacoma where the couple met and fell in love. They married in 2000 and many of their first years were spent in Chicago where John was a Pastoral Studies major at Moody Bible Institute. He received his Masters of Spiritual Formation and Discipleship from Moody Graduate School. John and Sarah have two beautiful children: David and Madison.

As their family grew so did John and Sarah’s passion for family and children’s ministry. Their desire is not only for their own family, but for all families to live as Christ. Here at SCC John and Sarah are excited to come alongside of families helping them raise fully devoted followers of Christ!

The Doty family loves spending time together! John and Sarah love being outdoors playing at the park, biking, and camping, but they also like the challenge of turning a rainy day inside into an adventure for their kids!
