"When they saw Him,
they worshiped Him" - Matthew 28:17
Welcome worshipper! Here at SCC, we love to worship God. Why? Because God loves to be worshipped! In fact, it is to this end that we have been created. We will boldly say this: worship is God's ETERNAL PRIORITY for your personal life and the life of the Church. Worship is expressing to God what is due His name - adoration, thanksgiving, celebration, humility, surrender, joy, excitement, expectation, and the list goes on. This expression permeates all levels of life. For you the individual, God has called you to a life of worship - every thought, word, and action expressing to God what is due His name. This is exciting stuff because when this becomes reality, everything you think, say or do is in direct response to Christ's work in your life! Yeah! While worship as a lifestyle is of utmost importance, the worship ministry at SCC particularly focuses on the corporate level of worship. Let's be clear: vibrant corporate worship is only possible when the individuals in the congregation are live a life of worship! Live a life of worship! When this happens, corporate worship is real, deep, infectious, exciting, and gives great pleasure to God. Here at SCC we seek to focus our corporate worship on what God values most: Rock-N-Roll. For those of you gasping right now... just kidding :-) As we reach out to raise up the next generation in Christ we do intentionally lend our services to a more contemporary style as we model giving preference to one another, but we actually believe that God could really care less about music style. Music style is a value of mankind. What we do believe God values in our corporate worship is that we come together from daily lives that exemplify worship (Romans 12:1), that we use heart, soul, mind and strength to express our love to Him (Mark 12:30), that He is exalted above all as we humbly come (Psalm 70:4), that we exhort and encourage one another (Ephesians 5:19), that we experience His presence fully in His people, the Temple (1 Corinthians 3:16), that we strive for excellence (Psalm 33:3), that we come, not hiding our weaknesses and failings, but exchanging them for His power and victory (Isaiah 55:1-3), that we expand in style and form (Psalm 98:1), that we expect God to do what He does - the impossible, the incredible, the amazing (Luke 18:27), that we extend an invitation for corporate participation (Psalm 34:3), and that we expound on the Word of God being preached (Colossians 3:16). So, please, COME AND WORSHIP WITH US as we seek His face and express what is due His name. If you are among those characterized by the latter portion of Matthew 28:17, "When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted," come and humbly ask God to reveal Himself to you. We believe that when you see God and put your faith in Him, there is only one thing left to do: WORSHIP.

Worship Ministry Mission:
Our mission is to draw full attention to God with the arts and to encourage participation in thought, word and action - Worship!
Worship Ministry Vision:
Our vision is to become a people bent on worship in every thought, word and action. To be so floored by God’s activity in our lives during the week that we are bursting at the seams (Psalm 145:7) with excitement, joy and thanksgiving as we come together on Sunday mornings and for other ministry events. In order to work and lead towards that, our team needs to continually delve into what God desires in worship and what it means to give ourselves to Him fully (Mark 12:30). It means expanding the worship ministry to better serve other ministries within SCC, incorporating regular nights of worship, focusing on teambuilding and growing as a ministry, and being involved in community outreach.
